Seal Snorkeling in Simon's Town (optional transfer)

Description

The Cape Fur Seal dive is a super fun and interactive dive and one of the signature dives that Cape Town has offered. The seals are very playful and love to show their acrobatic skills to divers.

These seals are used to divers and are not shy at all, they will often jump in the water in large numbers to come and investigate and play with divers.

We dive at Partridge Point, an exposed haul-out spot for seals. There are times when the water can be rough at the site due to waves or currents. We will make a careful assessment before entering the water and reserve the right to divert the divers to a more protected site if conditions warrant it.

A shallow section of the reef, known as the amphitheatre, is the best spot to interact with the Seals. The deeper sections of the reef offer beautiful marine life, swim-throughs and large sea fans.

I was recommended this place by the Youtube influencers Kara and Nate. I couldn't have asked for a better recommendation. They are the only shark cage company in Simon's Town and one of the few eco-charters in Cape Town. They run an incredibly ethical business and have amazing service. I had the most incredible time and was able to see many great white sharks both breaching and also in the cage. I went a few years ago back when there were great white in the bay. Since then I have heard they have been pushed out by orcas. However, if there are different sharks to see then this is the company to go with. I can't recommend them enough. I had a once-in-a-lifetime experience with them and the excellent service made it the perfect memory.

Also I should have led with this but they give you a scuba regulatory in the cage. I did a lot of research before and they are the only company I could find that did that. It made the experience so so so much better. I can't emphasize enough the difference in experience you will have with a regulator instead of a snorkel.

Unbelievable customer service! Nadine went above and beyond to provide the ultimate experience for us. I would highly recommend using African Shark Eco-Charters and will be back!

RUN AWAY
We booked for a trip that we never did and they charged 100% of our credit card for no reason.
Distrust Karen who is the most deviant person of the group : she has never proposed anyhing else and it is impossible to discuss with her .
she only charges yoor credit card and that's all ... To avoid absolutely that company

Awesome experience with an awesome crew. They worked hard and their dedication gave us awesome views of great white sharks! Very easy to book online and office staff were helpful and pleasant!

You book a white shark diving experience and they, afterwards, warn you there are no great whites in the area they work. Fake advertising. They'll also let you know the day before, at night, that their Go-Pro camera, along with other gear isn't working. "Ooooopsies, sorry, if you were expecting to have memories from the experience, it won't happen". Of course they won't offer a discount for this.

They'd also change the date and time at their convenience, and if you make the mistake of saying "ok" or "I'll think about it", they won't refund you any money.

Karen (honoring her name) is the rudest person I've come across. And of course I'm still waiting for any refund or compensation, or at least an apology. Nothing.

Worst option possible, hire others.
